4th Possible Sexualities Exhibition promotes campaign to combat homophobia in Salvador

This year, the 4th Possible Sexualities Exhibition, which takes place from May 17th – International Day to Combat Homophobia – to the 29th, promotes a campaign to combat homophobia in Salvador. The initiative is carried out by Multi Cultural Planning and aims to extend actions in favor of diversity beyond the debates and films that are part of the exhibition's programming.

During eight days, event promoters will distribute five thousand themed pins in the main cultural spots in the following neighborhoods: Rio Vermelho, Barra, Pituba, Itaigara, Imbuí and Paralela. "By expanding actions beyond May 17th, the initiative helps to promote a week of combating homophobia in the city, mobilizing Bahians and drawing attention to the issue for longer", explains Fernanda Bezerra, general coordinator of the Possible Sexualities Exhibition .

The 4th Possible Sexualities Exhibition will be at Caixa Cultural, Instituto Cervantes and Circuito Saladearte. The event's program includes the screening of 35 films, meetings with directors, debates, awards and the launch of the booklet "Homophobia. Another Very Serious Talk", written by illustrator Luis Augusto Gouveia. To see the complete schedule, click here.
