5th Tourism Exhibition includes LGBT audiences in the program

The 5th Tourism Exhibition – Tours of Brazil, which takes place in São Paulo from May 26th to 30th, will this year feature the debate panel “LGBT Tourism: working on diversities”, which will be attended by Canadian journalist Tanya Churchmuch, representative of International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), an entity that maps and evaluates the quality of destinations and itineraries for gays and lesbians around the world.

Tanya is recognized as one of the most respected experts in the LGBT tourism market and also serves as a spokesperson for Tourisme Montreal, the Canadian government's official tourism agency, in international lectures and conferences on the subject.

In addition to the journalist, the table includes the marketing director of the Brazilian Tourism Association GLS (ABRAT), Oswaldo Luiz, who will talk about the socio-economic importance of the segment, and Antonio Pedro Figueira de Mello, president of Riotur, who will talk about the choice of Rio de Janeiro, in 2009, as the best gay destination on the website TripOutGayTravel.
