'Abracadabra': director of the sequel is confirmed by Disney+

The streaming platform Disney + confirmed this Wednesday (4) that Adam shankman (Hairspray) will be the director of the sequel Abracadabra, the classic that marked the childhood of those who grew up in the 1990s.

Bette MidlerSarah Jessica Parker e Kathy najimy, who played the sorceresses Winifred “Winnie” Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson and Mary Sanderson, respectively, have not confirmed a return to their roles, although they are in the negotiation phase.

Originally released in 1993 and directed by Kenny Ortega, Abracadabra is a humorous fantasy that shows the three witches above coming back to life after being burned during the time of persecution in Salem. However, to stay alive, they must feed on the souls of children – and witches go hunting in the middle of Halloween.
