Do you already know what you're going to do at Carnival? If your destination is Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Brasília or São Paulo, fun is guaranteed because the program is full of attractions for all tastes on the most anticipated holiday of the year.

Anyone who intends to participate in the festivities in the Northeast cannot miss the premiere of Pride Box em Salvador, which is now open from 19pm to 5am. Pride was born from a partnership between two famous GLBT clubs in Salvador: Babalotim and Off Club and promises to be a mandatory stop during the Bahian carnival. The space was designed to receive around 350 people per night and is located on Avenida Oceânica, in front of the sea.

On Carnival Saturday it is time to Curitiba officially inaugurate the street Carnival with the departure of the DiverCIDADE block. The plot chosen for this year was “8 ways to put the block on the street and change the world”, whose theme was inspired by the eight goals of the millennium goals. DiverCIDADE is scheduled to leave at 18pm and will bring eight trans people on the front committee. The master of the ceremony and flag bearer couple are made up of GLBT activists, the transvestite Geogertte Big Field will be the flag bearer, and the master of the ceremony will be the gay activist Gerson Pinheiro.

If you don't have much patience for the typical racket mixed with the confetti and streamers of Carnival nights and would like to take advantage of the weekend to participate in lectures, shows, parties, exhibitions and performances by independent groups, your place is at Carnival Revolution, which will take place at Espaço Impróprio in São Paulo.

Many attractions have already been confirmed to be part of the program, which will also start on Saturday and run until Monday. (60 hours uninterrupted). Among them the duo from Salvador “Solange I’m Open” and the band “Biggs” from Sorocaba. Italian bands also participate in the event, they are “Number 71” and “Mr. Occhio Uomo Orchestra”. In other areas of the house, DJs Ricardo Motta, Jr Dub and Jumba lead the electronic Carnival pick-ups with lots of house music.

On Sunday, the Rio de Janeiro welcomes tourists from all over the world to embark on the first entirely GLBT cruise from the Brazilian coast aboard the ship Celebrity Infinity. The package offered by G Travel Online was called Rio Carnival Cruise and includes stops in Búzios, Santos, Porto Belo, Florianópolis, Punta del Este and Montevideo. The trip only ends on February 15th.

For the fifth consecutive year, Estruturação, LGBT Group of Brasilia, will place on the avenue the Arara Guys, a GLBT carnival group created to offer a “rainbow” revelry option in the federal capital.
