June 28th was chosen to be the World LGBT Pride Day. For the Rio Without Homophobia Program, the Rio de Janeiro There's not much to celebrate given the average of one homosexual killed per day in the last week.

The entity decided to visit homicide police stations to speed up investigations. As Bom Dia Rio showed, six recent murders of homosexuals are being directly monitored by the Rio Without Homophobia Program.
 

The crimes happened in Petrópolis, in Paracambi, in Mesquita, in Duque de Caxias and in Nova Friburgo.
 
The last case was in Nova Friburgo. There, a 24-year-old homosexual man was found dead with signs of stoning in the early hours of Friday (24).
 
The organization is also following the case of a transvestite found dead in Praça da Liberdade, in Petrópolis, with signs of hanging — local activists dispute the version of suicide; the case of a gay man, found dead in Paracambi with signs of homophobia; a man identified only as Rodney found dead in Mesquita, Baixada Fluminense, with three gunshots, two in the knee; a gay man murdered in Imbariê, Duque de Caxias, who has not yet been identified; a transgender woman, also murdered in Imbariê, and who has not yet been identified.
 
The coordinator of the Rio Without Homophobia Program, Cláudio Nascimento, emphasized the importance of the population collaborating in clarifying crimes related to homophobia.
