Angela Vieira says her bisexual character will be “Zé Mayer” from the miniseries “Cinquentinha”

In addition to a gay villain character in the miniseries "Cinquentinha", by Aguinaldo Silva, the series will also have a bisexual character.

This role was played by actress Angela Vieira who, in an interview with Extra Online, declared that she will be the "Zé Mayer" of the series, "it was a breeze, I'm getting it". Her character, Leila, a journalist, will fall in love with Mariana (Marília Gabriela). However, even with this passion, Leila will have some affairs on the side.

"They [Leila and Mariana] were college friends, but Leila became a journalist and went abroad and Mariana became a photographer. When she returns from Europe, she comes back liking women. And, when she meets Mariana again in a nightclub, she falls in love and wants to have a loving relationship with her", said the actress.

Regarding her intriguing character, Angela revealed that Leila "is a bold, bisexual woman, who has a fine irony. She is representative of those modern people who frequent these clubs that there are a lot of in London, where the motto is to love love. Regardless of whether you are a man or woman. Leila wants to have fun, she wants to be happy. She has a certain arrogance when she insists that the world is gay and that there just has to be a situation for people to like the same sex."

Despite leading this super "cool" life, the actress says that her character will fall for the famous "good night Cinderella" scam. "She receives a cinderella good night from a girl who is interested. Leila takes her to her house and the next morning, she discovers that she has been stolen. The funny thing is that she wakes up confused and starts to like men. It's bad. Leila is always interested in someone. If she let me, she would go over all the characters. She's the Zé Mayer of the miniseries."

The miniseries "Cinquentinha" premieres in December on TV Globo, and stars actresses Susana Vieira, Marília Gabriela and Betty Lago.
