It seems that the fact that singer Ricky Martin has publicly admitted his homosexuality has awakened in other artists the desire to also come out of the closet.
This time, it was Canadian actress Anna Paquin, 27, who decided to come out as bisexual. “I am Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual, and I care,” the actress said to the camera while filming a public announcement for US TV.
Paquin, who became known for her role in “The Piano” (1993), for which she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress when she was just 11 years old, was taking part in an event promoted by the True Colors Fund, an organization founded by singer Cyndi Lauper that raises money for gay rights.
Also participating in the campaign, entitled “Give a Damn” (I care), are celebrities such as Cynthia Nixon, Whoopi Goldberg, Elton John and Kim Kardashian.
