The HomoDriver application will begin operating in the city of Curitiba from the second half of the year. The application currently only operates in Belo Horizonte, but plans to reach the whole of Brazil soon.
HomoDriver is a transportation app like Uber, but aimed at the LGBT public. The proposal is to bring more security to the community. “We know the difficulties that transvestites and transgender people have in getting jobs. The coolest thing is the social part, being able to practically change the lives of the LGBT community. This is not about segregation. It is the personalization of a market because there is an excluded part. It’s a seed sown for change, for the acceptance of the LGBT community”, said HomoDriver’s co-owner, Thiago Villas-Boas, to G1.
