The porn site YouPorn offered himself to Cannes film festival to be the platform on which films from the famous event can be shown. The organization of the French festival, previously scheduled for May, chose to reschedule it for June or July – yet to be defined – due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Charlie Hughes, vice-president of YouPorn, sent an email to Pierre Lescure, president of Cannes, making himself available to “lend a hand”.
“At YouPorn, in the face of the pandemic, we take seriously our role in the lives of people, now more socially distant, in terms of keeping our community connected and entertained,” he wrote, according to the Consequence of sound.
“We would hate to see this renowned event canceled for the first time in 73 years. We have a robust infrastructure already in place for large-scale content streaming and would love to help the esteemed event go ahead with its initially planned schedule and agenda.”
