After a fight with the creator of “Glee”, the Kings Of Leon drummer is accused of homophobia

Ryan Murphy, creator of the series "Glee", was involved in a public dispute with the drummer of the band Kings Of Leon, Nathan Followill, who was accused by Murphy of being homophobic.

It all started at the end of last year when Murphy revealed that he was interested in adapting some of the band's songs for the series. In an interview with the newspaper "New Music Express" (NME), the musicians were dismissive of the series. Last Thursday (20), however, they made a mea culpa and claimed that they didn't know "Glee", which is why they didn't authorize the use of the songs.

The fight spilled over onto Twitter when Ryan Murphy called the Kings Of Leon musicians "selfish idiots". Nathan Followill shot back at Murphy: "Dear Ryan Murphy, go see a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Shut up and focus on your primary education, as they say." Murphy then responded: "It seems like Nathan can reduce a group of people to this petty cliché, in a time when young people and gays are killing each other all the time over hate like this."

The musician apologized and said he is not homophobic. "I'm sorry that you interpreted my comment as homophobia. I'm not that kind of person. I sincerely apologize," Followill wrote.
