After employees of the publishing house Hachette, for which JK Rowling releases his novels, refuse to work on the British writer's latest book, her fellow authors end their contract with the company that manages Rowling, the Blair Partnership.

This week, Fox Fisher, Drew Davies, Ugla Stefanía Kristjönudóttir and another person who did not identify themselves, left the literary agency claiming that it needs to take a position regarding the comments made by the author of Harry Potter - made at the beginning of June – and that the rights of transgender people must be respected.

“Freedom of expression can only be maintained if the structural inequalities that impede equal opportunities for underrepresented groups are challenged and changed,” the authors said in a statement.
