After leaving the PSOL after having said that he would not accept homosexuals in his party, the political activist José Bibiano Queiroz says it is in negotiations with other associations in Cruzeiro do Sul, in the interior of Acre.

He, who aims to be a candidate for mayor of the city in 2016, claims to have received support for his decision and that his convictions are maintained.

At the beginning of October, Queiroz, who was a member of PSOL, generated controversy and criticism after stating that he did not join homosexuals in the party.

"We accept affiliations, as long as they are from decent and reputable people and who have no dirty past.

Because whoever was born the son of the saint remains the son of the saint, and whoever is the son of the other remains the son of the other. As a person, I do not affiliate with homosexuals, but the party is free to accept anyone. That's why it's PSOL, where the sun rises for everyone", he stated at the time.

After the statement, national party leaders asked for the political activist to be excluded from PSOL's ranks in Acre. Queiroz asked for his disaffiliation and is studying which party he will run for in the municipal elections.

"I have until April 2nd to decide which party I will join. Some parties have already contacted me and I will evaluate which party fits with my vision of life and my thoughts. My pre-candidacy remains firm and strong in the name of Jesus ", he declared.

He claims that he is acclaimed on the streets and emphasizes that the old party is now no longer part of his life.

"There is no possibility of returning. I maintain my pre-candidacy for mayor, as it has already become public. It no longer belongs to me, it belongs to the people who ask me to maintain my candidacy. I have no coalition with anyone. My coalition is with the people and not with a rout of parties that after the election only brings confusion to those elected", he concluded.
