The actor Eddie Redmayne, who won the Oscar for best actor for the film The Theory of Everything, faces a new challenge in his career: playing a transgender woman in the film The Danish Girl.

The first image of Eddie already characterized as the character Lili Elbe was released this Friday (27). And it shows the actor in makeup, with wavy hair and fake breasts.
The character is based on a transgender painter who was born in Denmark. She pioneered sexual reassignment surgery (sex change) in Berlin in 1930. She ended up dying after an attempt to transplant a uterus.

The film is directed by Tom Hooper and stars Alice VIkander as Lili's wife.
