App that blocks your card when you've had too much to drink could be the solution to your problems

Going out on the weekends with friends to enjoy a night out or even a nice chat in a bar can be a lot of fun and extremely pleasurable, if it weren't for that hangover the next day, if you're the type of person who can't control the amount of alcohol. However, worse than the hangover caused by drinking, is the financial hangover, or simply having to face the astronomical debt that you incurred due to pure impulse. Right? To solve your problems, if you have this problem of spending more than you can afford, know that there is an application that blocks your card when you have overindulged – literally, and it is called “DrnkPay”. The limit, however, is set by the user. Before you start drinking, you enroll your cards and the amount and types of drinks allowed before the app blocks card usage. It is possible, therefore, to determine that four beers is your limit. At the bar, when paying, a “hard rate” is applied, and the user needs to be clean to be able to use the card. To be released, two requirements must be met: that the drink limit has not been reached – through a biosensor installed on a bracelet – and that the user blows into a breathalyzer that the smartphone recognizes, and that sends the information to the application proving that you can still spend. If either of the two conditions is not met, your cards will be blocked for 12 hours. The user can also, of course, determine for which types of establishments the card will be blocked – thus allowing, for example, the user to return home paying with the card. Another function that the app can perform is to call an Uber so you can leave. That idea of buying a ticket to Egypt, which, in its drunken heyday, seemed brilliant, can now be avoided. The application will still take around a year to be active, as it requires connection with banking institutions. Until then, the way forward will have to be to hold back, so as not to wake up poor after a naughty night of luxury and excess at a bar table. With information from the Hypeness website
