Presenter of a broadcaster affiliated with SBT is removed for making fun of Pabllo Vittar

Journalist and presenter Fábio Araújo from TV Tambaú, affiliated with SBT in Paraíba, was removed from his duties indefinitely, after making a joking and homophobic gesture directed at drag queen Pabllo Vittar.

The scene occurred at the moment when Araújo was commenting on singer Falcão's statement that Vittar sings "worse" than him. At that moment, the presenter asked the program's production team to play a song by Falcão. In the part where the lyrics say "a fag is a fag", Fábio points to the photo of the drag queen behind on the screen and laughs.

The scene had a negative impact on social media, leading to the immediate dismissal of the journalists from their duties, and the following day he was replaced by Gustavo Brandão.

In a note, the broadcaster announced that "when dealing with of one of the program's themes involving the artists Falcão and Pabllo Vittar, the presenter had a position that does not match the values ​​defended by the RTC. In respect for human beings, regardless of belief, class, ethnicity, gender and/or sexual orientation.
