As we know, for years Russia has maintained a repressive stance towards members of the LGBT community, preventing any act of affection in public, as it is considered a type of "gay propaganda".
Although homosexuality is not considered a crime in Russia, in 2017 reports of the existence of a concentration camp to hold gay men in Chechnya, which is one of the federations that make up Russian territory, caught the attention of the world press, generating dozens of criticisms of the Kremlin.
At the time, Putin vehemently denied the allegations.
In concrete terms, the only certainty is that Russia is, indeed, one of the most intolerant countries towards the rainbow community on the planet.
