The drag queen Vera Lua showed that solidarity is everything, even more so in current times, when social distancing as a measure to prevent the new coronavirus has catastrophic effects on family budgets.

Last Thursday (28), in the Paraisópolis neighborhood, the artist donated 700 basic food baskets to needy families in the extreme South Zone of São Paulo, according to the drag press office. Although she has been doing similar actions for at least two years, Lua decided to publicize her good deed to inspire other people to do the same.

“It is time to show solidarity with each other, especially with those who need it so much and suffer from social vulnerability,” he said in the statement.

The drag artist owns five restaurants in shopping centers in the interior of São Paulo.
