Some politicians also spoke out. Marta Suplicy, Minister of Culture, wrote: "She faced prejudice and intolerance with art and courage. The feminist and LGBT movements lost a strong activist. We also lost an artist." Jean Wyllys, federal deputy, stated that Vange "understood that there was no such thing as non-political art." "She used her lyrics to give women a voice in such a masculine LGBT environment."

The writer and researcher João Silvério Trevisan said that the artist was “going against the grain”. "She had things that feminists and lesbians would hate: she liked men and that is almost a dirty word within the militancy. She was far from being sexist, she was feminist in her own way." And the journalist Victor Angelo stressed that the singer and Ângela Ro Ro were the exception to the rule in MPB. "They say Daniela Mercury was brave, but Vange did it much earlier."

The wake will be held this Tuesday (15), starting at 10am, at the Horto da Paz Cemetery (Rua Horto da Paz, 191, Itapecerica da Serra – KM 290 on BR 116). And the cremation ceremony takes place at 14 pm.
