Harry Potter actor appears nude in publicity for theater play

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, known for giving life to the most famous wizard in literature, has caused excitement among parents of fans – and fans, of course – of Harry Potter. Already grown up and much older than the little wizard on the big screen and in books, Daniel premieres the play Equus at the Gielgud theater, in London's West End, on February 16th. The publicity material for the play has caused quite a bit of controversy. In it, Daniel appears with a naked torso with a white horse at his side. In another poster, the actor also appears nude alongside actress Joanna Christie. In Equus, the actor will play Alan Strang, a young man who has sex with a horse. The text of the play is by playwright Peter Shaffer. Some parents of Harry Potter fans sent a statement to the international press saying they were disappointed with the photos in question. “Our children see him as an example. From now on, we will avoid taking our children to see your films.” The actor's agent, publicist Vanessa Davies, told the English newspaper “Daily Mail” that Radcliffe “does not want to distance himself from his traditional image as Harry Potter, but wants to show that he is a talented actor capable of playing different roles”. And what a talent.
