Belo Horizonte gains transport app with a focus on the LGBT community

Homo Driver app

The LGBT public in BH received a transport app focused on them. The new app is called Homo Driver and is like Uber and 99, it connects drivers with passengers who are looking for transportation.

According to the creator of Homo Driver, the idea came about as a way to help improve transport for LGBT people, who suffer from a lot of prejudice. Many cannot find a job and some suffer attacks in their cars from other applications. “Some pillars of social improvements need to be made and developing an app for this community brings more security and empathy”, declared Thiago Villas Boas.

The app has already had more than a thousand downloads in less than 24 hours and can be downloaded on devices that have the Android operating system.
