Bolsonaro signs the withdrawal of the LGBT community from Human Rights guidelines

Bolsonaro removes LGBT community

Current president Jair Bolsonaro signed a MP which removes the LGBT community from Human Rights guidelines. It was published in the Official Gazette last Wednesday (02) and shows in detail the changes in the structures of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, which is now commanded by Minister Damares Alves, who has been very controversial with the community LGBT.

In the new text, only policies aimed at promoting the rights of women, families, adolescents, youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, the black population, ethnic and social minorities and indigenous people are included in the portfolio. And it is still unclear whether there will be an LGBT portfolio and which structure will be responsible for LGBT citizens.
