Bolsonaro fires back at gays: “I have nothing against it, but the definition of family, for me, is that of the Bible”

Jair Bolsonaro gave an interview to the American channel Fox News, which was broadcast in the early hours of Tuesday (19) in Brazil. In the interview, journalist Shannon Bream questioned him about the plural and controversial image he has, mainly about comments he made directed at the LGBT community that are incompatible with American values.

Evidently, Bolsonaro defended himself and placed the blame on the media, saying that the Brazilian press takes everything out of context. “If I were all that, I wouldn’t be elected president. There is a large number of fake news, but the population has learned to use social media and people no longer believe or trust the traditional press,” he said.

Then he said: “I'm not against homosexuals or women. But I want to have my house in order and the definition of family, for me, is that of the Bible.”
