Buenos Aires voted most “gay-friendly” city

The city of Buenos Aires was elected, for the second consecutive year, the best destination for gays and lesbians in the world, in a survey carried out by the American magazine “The Out Traveler”, specialized in LGBT tourism.

In second and third place come, respectively, the cities of Barcelona (Spain) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). For the Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur) of the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires “has a wide cultural offer and numerous services aimed at the homosexual community, in addition to an attractive tourist proposal”.

“In recent years, the city has become a new favorite tourist destination due to its open and tolerant nature, which reinforces Buenos Aires' identity as a 'gay-friendly' city”, highlighted Sectur.

Buenos Aires is also known for being the only city in Latin America to authorize civil partnerships between homosexuals.
