“Bundaflor, Bundamor” returns to the stages of Porto Alegre for four performances

How about a choreographic show favoring national preference? Yes, herself, the ass. This is the motto of "Bundaflor, Bundamor", choreography with dancers Eduardo Severino, Luciano Tavares and Mônica Dantas, which returns to the Porto Alegre stage for four more performances.

The work was conceived by the duo formed by Eduardo and Luciano, from Eduardo Severino Cia. de Dança. And in addition to the two of them and Mônica, dancers Luciana Hoppe, Luiza Moraes and Viviane Gawazee also enter the scene, special guests this season.

The new season brings new features in relation to the original show, which debuted in 2008. But the starting point, of course, is still the same: the book "The Brief History of Buttocks", by French historian Jean Luc Henning. Based on the work, the troupe investigates new perspectives on this much-desired area of the human body.

"The Brazilian butt, formed thanks to African genetic heritage, is the bouncing flesh mass that shows our mixed-race joy", declares the show's team. The group also cites the classic poem by – amazingly – Carlos Drummond de Andrade, "A Bunda, Que Engraçada", where the miner states: "The butt is enough. Is there anything more?"

Final detail: on the soundtrack, Gretchen, the "Queen of Bumbum", appears with her eternal "Melô do Piripiri".
