According to the Estadão newspaper, the piece sold more than 200 units at the beginning of last month alone at R$19,90.

Along with the image, the t-shirt features the phrase: "Happy Father's Day". In other words, an excellent gift to highlight the date, which will be celebrated on Sunday (9).

The partner of the Dimona store, Leonardo Zoneschein, declared that the intention of creating the print was to include families of homosexual couples. But the motivation is not ideological, it is commercial. "This year we also did it on Mother's Day. We don't sell hundreds of pieces, but there is a market for it."

Other prints also show new family arrangements, such as the t-shirt that says “pai-dastro”. "We try to make inclusive products, for fathers, foster fathers, grandfathers. Our company is located in the Sahara, which has a heterogeneous audience."

Coordinator of the diversity area at Rio City Hall, Carlos Tufvesson approved the initiative and said that, in the current moment of homophobia spread in various sectors of society, the initiative helps to show society what hate is and what love is.
