Canal Brasil will show Gay Favela – LGBTQI+ Peripheries, documentary series that addresses the daily lives of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and intersex people from the outskirts.

The series is an expansion of the documentary Gay Favela (2014), by Rodrigo Felha, centered on the favelas of Rio. In the TV adaptation, the filmmaker delved into the reality of other cities, and brings stories that show the intersection that gender, sexual orientation and economic class have in the lives of these people. There are also reports of homophobia, prostitution and drug use, but without giving up, as a whole, the hand of good humor and lightness.

Gay Favela premieres on the 25th (Wednesday), at 19:30 pm; Soon after, it will be available on the Canal Brasil Play platform. Reruns on the TV channel will be shown on Mondays (12:30 pm) and Tuesdays (7:30 am).
