Candidate for federal deputy, André Pomba presents projects for the LGBT community

Running for the position of federal deputy for the Green Party in São Paulo, André Pomba (4396) is the seventh LGBT candidate to present his proposals to the readers of THE CAPE.

Known for his work as a DJ, especially in the rock universe, he states that he ran for office in 2014 because he understands that radical changes are necessary for Brazil to emerge from the doldrums and endemic corruption.

As part of the "LGBT votes LGBT" campaign, Pomba claims that he previously presented projects to 50 deputies, but that no one returned his emails and phone calls. "I decided I would never treat a voter with the contempt they do."

Pomba is also linked to several cultural projects, such as the production of events such as World Rock Day, LGBT Pride Week, Grind party. And he also participates in several demonstrations in favor of LGBT rights.

Check out André Pomba’s proposals:

– Human Rights: Guide the mandate against all forms of prejudice, with transversal policies in defense of socially discriminated groups, such as black people, indigenous people, migrants, immigrants, people with disabilities, graduates and the LGBT population.

– Secular state: Against fundamentalism and religious intolerance. Demand serious investigation against abuses and charlatanism and for the taxation of churches that enrich their leaders. Implementation of the de facto secular state with separation of religion and constitution.

– Democracy: Firm fight for ethics in politics and against corruption. For a more transparent congress with more popular participation. I support the demilitarization of the police and the end of mandatory military service.
