Campaign material for candidates for federal deputy Ezequiel Teixeira and federal deputy Edino Fonseca, from PSB – Rio de Janeiro – shocked those who believe in human rights and are in favor of the LGBT cause.

With a 24-page magazine, they classified the community made up of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans people as anti-Christ, mentally ill and condemned the criminalization of homophobia.
On the pages, they claim to want the right to fire a nanny when they discover she is a lesbian and to remove or expel a member who is gay. "The criminalization of homophobia is a persecution of families and religious followers", says the text.
The material also raises untrue questions that have never been discussed by movements in favor of sexual diversity and gender identity, such as the desire to have sex within churches and the association of homosexuality with pedophilia.

Upon becoming aware of the material, which uses her image, the presidential candidate Marina Silva expressed repudiation and called the material "criminal", "homophobic in nature", "broadly discriminatory" and said that his image was used inappropriately.
"The Coalition will take legal action to search and seize, as well as prohibit the distribution of material, which encourages hatred and violence against different agendas of the feminist and black movements (…) We can no longer allow the dignity of sexual minorities to continue being violated in the name of prejudice. It is necessary to look with respect at the groups that are discriminated against today", says the statement.
