On October 13th, young Fabrício Junior, aged 25, recorded a video and published it on a YouTube channel, explaining the reasons for his suicide. Hours later, the actor, resident of Belo Horizonte, died, according to reports from friends, after ingesting high doses of medication. In his report, Fabrício details, over the course of just over twenty minutes, the reasons that led him to fall into a deep depression and lose the will to live. Disappointments in love, prejudice and intolerance, among others, were the necessary ingredients that transformed the young artist into another statistic of depression. At the beginning of the video, he apologizes to his family and friends, but says he can no longer stay alive. “I’m sorry to all those who love me, my family, my friends,” he says. According to the World Health Organization, millions of people around the world suffer from depression and anxiety, especially young people. In the video, Fabrício asks people to pay more attention to those around us, because “there are people right next to you, who may be suffering a lot, with various problems, smiling but screaming inside, that's how I am”, states. “Notice your friends, your family, the people around you,” he says.
