The capital of Minas Gerais has a mechanical workshop aimed at the GLS public

No fetishes or sex with hairy, sweaty, manly mechanics with grease on their hands. In fact, unlike traditional workshops, you won't find posters of naked women. Of men, even less. If this is what you expect from a mechanic workshop specializing in the GLS, you can pull your horse out of the rain. At King Car, the first of its kind known in Belo Horizonte and, perhaps, in Brazil, this is not what you will find.

According to Fabrício Dupim, responsible for the company's administrative and marketing sector, the focus for the GLS public is respect and service. “There is no distinction between straight or gay and the service has to be perfect”, he reveals.

The idea is recent. The workshop, which has been in existence for a year, transformed into GLS about two months ago. Before that, the owners did research and the employees had to undergo training. The idea came up occasionally. Robson Coutinho, responsible for the workshop, and Fabrício, both homosexuals, realized that there was a great demand to serve this public.

Fabrício states that the public has reacted well to the initiative. “If before we served ten homosexual clients a week, this number increased to twenty-five, thirty”, he assesses.

This transformation has been happening little by little. The workshop does not yet have a rainbow-colored flag, but there is a banner hanging in the Gis Club with the following words: “You are 'understood' of cars? We are!!! King Car – Automotive Center. The first mechanical workshop UPS from BH!”

The workshop is located at Rua Silva Jardim, 180. The contact telephone number is 31 3423 3418.
