For those who are in São Paulo, want to escape the Carnival standard and are not going to disembark in the busy gay carnival hotspots - read Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Florianópolis -, some options are interesting in São Paulo - a city that was once called the "tomb of samba".
The nightclub A Lôca has a special program with seven nights – the first of which has already taken place: it was on Thursday 03/03, with the night Lôcuras. It is then worth playing on the remaining six nights, which include the traditional Grind on Sunday – with emphasis on the show by Maria Alcina, who sings carnival marches – and Tapa na Pantera on Tuesday, which features a performance by the Samba School GLS Grêmio Arco-Íris.
At the Vegas club, the Super Trash party takes place this Friday (04), which brings together DJs Katylene, Cleycianne, Marcos Lucon and Paulette Pink, among others. The sound must escape carnival rhythms.
Meanwhile, at Dynamite Pub, the second edition of GLS Karaoke is taking place. DJs André Pomba, Peete Netto and André Juquinha welcome people from 21pm on Carnival Friday. The party goes on until 5am, and the idea is to make people let out their voices with national and international songs.
The Flexx club, in turn, bets on the strength of the divas and brings singer Kelly Rowland, ex-Destiny's Child. Kelly sings at the club on Saturday night (05).
The Week invests in varied parties. On Friday there's Gambiarra, the famous night for theater people, Saturday there's Babylon Conexão Internacional, Sunday there's the Nova Pool Party, and the second new edition of Babylon. DJ Isaac Escalante, from Mexico, plays on Monday.
And for those who are nostalgic, the idea is to invest in Nostro Mondo. The house, recently renovated, has put together a program that draws on the glorious carnivals of the past. Friday is the Masquerade Ball, Saturday is the Glamor Night, Sunday is the Hawaii Ball, Monday is the Arabian Night and Tuesday the Black and White Ball. Each night is themed and it is desirable that the public comes wearing costumes or outfits linked to the theme, with the right to a competition to choose the best ones. Two tracks, one with carnival rhythms and the other with house music, divide the attention.
