Carolina Ferraz will play a transvestite in theaters in “A Glória e a Graça”

Directed by Flavio Ramos Tambellini, film about modern family premieres on March 10th

During national Trans Visibility week, a date celebrated last Sunday across the country, H2O Films launched the official poster for the film “A Glória e a Graça”, by Flavio Ramos Tambellini.

In the main role, Carolina Ferraz plays the transvestite Glória, a beautiful and successful owner of a restaurant in Rio.

Her sister, Graça (Sandra Corveloni), with whom she has not had contact for 13 years, discovers that she has little time to live and seeks her out to bring her closer to her nephews, who have no one else in the family.

The film was shot in four weeks of filming, on locations in the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa, Centro and Laranjeiras, in Rio de Janeiro.

Produced by Tambellini Filmes and co-produced by Globo Filmes, the film will be released on March 30th, distributed by H2O Films.

Permeated by the breaking of prejudices, which transforms the lives of these characters and their surroundings, “Glória e a Graça” is a drama about the modern family. The film presents a new look at the topic, removing the transvestite from its comical and caricatured role.

Excluded from the family by her own choice, Glória builds a life with all the nuances unacceptable to her relatives. Many years later, she receives a call from Graça, who has two children – a 13-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy – and has just discovered that she has a terminal illness. Desperate, she realizes that there is no one left to take care of the children when she is gone. She then takes courage and decides to get back in touch with her brother. When she gets closer, she discovers that Luiz Carlos has become Glória.
