Lesbian couple are victims of homophobic attack at a McDonald's store in Taboão da Serra

A lesbian couple claims to have been victims of homophobic aggression in a McDonald's restaurant, in the municipality of Taboão da Serra (Grande SP). According to the young women, the two were sitting when two men and a woman began to attack them. One of the victims, Patrícia Odinéia Garcia, 32, said she was beaten until she passed out.

The Civil Police said they already have a lead on the attackers who fled in a silver Renault Clio. Witnesses wrote down the license plate of the car. To the newspaper “Agora SP”, Patrícia declared that she was certain that this was a homophobic attack. Only the girls were attacked, the only boy who accompanied them was not.

Patrícia had injuries to her head, legs and a fractured finger. The girl said that she was punched and kicked and that, in addition to the boys, there was also a woman who participated in the attack. Witnesses said that at the time of the attack there were around 20 people in the establishment.
