A couple suffocated to death while having sex in a car in the city of Bottrop, Germany. According to the Metro portal, the bodies were found naked, last Tuesday (13/02), in a vehicle parked in a garage in the west of the European country. The bodies were found after the family of both men, who had been missing for days, sought help from the authorities. The two were, naked, inside a car whose engine was running, apparently to keep the vehicle warm while they had sex. This is because, in closed and poorly ventilated places, carbon monoxide (CO) produced by burning fuel accumulates and, if inhaled for a long time, can kill through asphyxiation. Tests are being carried out to prove the presence of the gas, which is colorless and odorless, in the couple's bloodstream. The police also explained that there was no evidence at the scene of the deaths that could suggest a crime, but forensic scientists in the region are also involved in the investigation to confirm the information. “So far, everything points to an accident. But, to rule out any doubts, the prosecutor in the case ordered an autopsy,” said the authorities spokesperson.
