The city has different types of attractions for all tastes

Despite being an unconditional fan of Rio de Janeiro, this year I wanted to do a different carnival than the last ten and chose the beautiful city of Recife as my destination. The choice was perfect. I thought it was an off carnival, but I realized that the city is completely gay-friendly. On Boa Viagem beach there is a city hall billboard with two guys looking at each other and a condom in the middle. Message given to tourists and locals. In Olinda, several military police bands ask for respect for differences. The city has immense gay tourism potential, however, it is completely unexplored. On the Wednesday and Thursday after Carnival there were no gay bars or clubs open. There shouldn't be a lack of public, so much so that the Turkish, Berna Aydar, famous for holding pool parties in São Paulo, has already announced that she will be taking her party there. morning rooster The largest carnival group in the world, “Galo da Madrugada”, (even listed in the Guinness Book) brings together two million revelers dancing the famous frevo amidst several electric trios, in the heart of the city. It's quite famous and, despite it sounding corny touristy, be sure to check it out. And if ten percent of the population is gay, it's not difficult to calculate how many bees pass through there. Night Metropolis The best club in the city is Metrópole. It's big and has two lanes. And as owner Maria do Céu likes to emphasize, “it has a lot of sexual energy”. But don't be alarmed, it's a dance club like the others, everyone is well behaved, or almost so. The club has a terrace on the third floor in honor of Rio de Janeiro. The Brasil bar is the second dance floor, where Brazilian rhythms are played. The club is one of the best in the northeast, the structure is very good. Last Friday it was packed with beautiful people. Olinda Now the strongest carnival basfond is in the city of Olinda, nearby, twenty minutes by car. As soon as you climb the first hill full of revelers, follow until you reach Rua XII de Maio, that's the gay spot. Several bars and bands rock the cramped street. The flirting goes on freely, you can kiss a couple of lips per hour, very handsome boys come around playing and making out. It's carnival, after all. You can get there at three in the afternoon and leave at ten at night. Blocks pass through the confusion every hour. Highlight is “Porra nem uma”, where approximately 50 people pass by with a banner and singing the only chorus: Porra Não. Another funny block is “Canta Corno”. In it, there is an Olinda doll on the front with full breasts and lots of horns on the back. On Tuesday there is the Olinda doll parade, there are more than a hundred, very cool and very crowded too. Now the real drama is the “Porta” block. It passes on Carnival Tuesday on Rua Treze de Maio (the gay street). At the front of the block there are two girls who are undressing in a cart. Behind, the straight men are hitting everyone. Run lola run! Evening tea Afternoon tea in Recife is undoubtedly at Termas Boa Vista. It is difficult to define the location. Imagine a beautiful, comfortable and clean place. Now, add an attentive staff made up of beautiful “masseuses”. In addition to a semi-industrial kitchen that prepares lasagna, pies, feijoada and several other dishes. Well, it doesn't stop there. The club also has a stage, where very well-produced shows are held. And it also has an internet cafe, 2 restaurants, 4 saunas, 2 rooms with TV, several spaces for reading (including A Capa magazine). Suites for “massages”, beauty salon and garden. After 20pm, it turns into a nightclub with a DJ and dance floor lighting. It is one of the best and largest saunas in Brazil. Even if you are prejudiced against saunas, it is worth knowing. Beaches There are a few blocks in Praia de Boa Viagem at around 3800 where gays are in greater numbers, it's worth taking a look.
