Colégio Adventista dos Correios, located in Belém do Pará, was the target of criticism and accusations of distributing homophobic content in tests for teenagers.
The case took social media by storm, after makeup artist Herisson Lopes, brother of a student, shared photos from one of the tests. In it, teenagers had to answer the questions: “How to avoid homosexuality?” and “Is homosexuality forgivable?”

Colégio Adventista de Correios clarifies some aspects related to news about a school activity:
1. The questions contained in the questionnaire aimed to collect different opinions and feelings about the topic under study and gave each student the opportunity to freely express their opinion. A book served as an aid to the task, which occurs in several disciplines.
2. The task that the teacher chose took into account the student's prior knowledge. And, with this, it seeks to provide a qualified debate on the subject. The idea is to form citizens who respect diverse opinions, as well as being able to think for themselves about the topics presented.
3. The College affirms that, above all, it respects all individuals without any type of sexual, racial, religious, or other discrimination.
4. The College, which is a confessional institution, is recognized for the trust and credibility it transmits, especially for presenting a high quality educational proposal, based on values based on the Bible and aimed at promoting the harmonious development of physical, intellectual and spiritual faculties and social aspects of each student.
5. The College is and has always been available to those who wish to clarify doubts regarding any type of task used.
