2h10 late, Madonna ends tour thanking everyone

At around 19:45 pm on Sunday (21/12), a large part of the audience that went to see Madonna's last show in Brazil was already eagerly awaiting the performance that would end the tour. At 20pm, DJ Paul Oakenfold took the stage to entertain the crowd, but that was the last thing he did playing old music, apart from some mistakes in the set like Marcelo D2.

After Paul left, everyone thought it was time to check out the most anticipated show of the year since September. On the stage, however, countless men with kilos of towels mopping the floor. People started to get angry, from 21:30 pm the booing was inevitable, as the ground where the singer would perform was already more than dry: the rain had already stopped, the sky was open and the staff insisted on bringing more and more cloths…

At 22:10 pm all the lights went out. Soon, the bad mood passed and everyone started shouting. Madonna appeared on her throne to start the performance with the song Candy Shop. She would once again excite the public with the third song "Human Nature", from her more experimental album "Bed Time Stories".

In the second block, the classic song "Borderline" stands out. With a rock style, Madonna practically remade the song and, in fact, made it much better than the original version. The public received the new arrangements very well. Another interesting moment is the interpretation of the song "she's not me", where the singer reviews all her phases and leaves them behind.

In the penultimate part of the show, the beautiful ballad "Devil Wouldnt Recognize You" got a great version. Madonna appears covered in a kind of overcoat, with a hat behind the screen, and images in front of her mix with the diva. Before the last block, she sang "You Must Love Me" from the film "Evita". It was emotional, Madonna even cried and then thanked everyone for coming.

Before the last block of the show, it was impossible not to comment on the Get Stupid video, a kind of political manifesto by the singer. Well produced, with images of Madonna mixed with Africa, war scenes and world celebrities, to current despots, including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (President of Iran) and George W. Bush, ending with the image of the recently elected North American president Barack Obama.

The last part of the show opens with "4 minutes", creativity was used at this moment, a screen with the real height of singer Justin Timberlake simulated a duet between him and Madonna. To close, "Hung Up" was performed, another song that took on a rock guise – could this be a possible sign of influences for your next album? To close, Madonna sent "Give it 2 me".
