Attention, book fans With love, Simon: the author Becky Albertalli confirmed on Twitter the long-awaited sequel to his young adult best-seller that made history with a young gay protagonist.
Albertalli said that the sequel will come in the format of a novel (not as long as the novel, and not as short as the short story), will have the title Love, Creekwood and will follow the characters from the original book at college.
Love, Creekwood it will be the author's second foray into Simon's universe; the second was in Leah Out of Tune. The confirmation comes after the writer herself stated that she would no longer write books set in the “Simonverse”.
Me for literally years: this is the end of the Simonverse. There are no sequels coming. Never.
