The new coronavirus pandemic did not stop the São Paulo LGBT Pride Parade, one of the largest in the world, to happen.
In an exceptionally online edition last Sunday (14), the event showcased, via live streaming, more than eight hours of programming – even including the presence of a former Spice Girl, the charismatic Mel C, a long-time ally of our cause , among several other famous guests, such as singers Daniela Mercury and Ellen Oléria.
With the theme “We will be the nightmare of those who want to steal our democracy”, the Parade reached its 24th edition – the first held remotely –, raising discussions about diversity in family arrangements, the fight against racism and how covid-19 has affected the LGBT. The first year of the criminalization of LGBTphobia in the STF (Supreme Federal Court) was also celebrated at the event.
Check out some of the highlights of the Parade below – and, at the end, the video with the full live stream of the event.
