The most anticipated festive event of the year, carnival is knocking on the door, but we can already hear the sound of the tambourine that immediately makes samba take over the body and revelry prevails.

This is because, as is tradition, the public does not wait for Carnival to arrive to be vadia cheer up.

In São Paulo, street blocks have become the main attraction, attracting thousands of tourists from other countries and states who come to the capital to enjoy the joy of São Paulo. There are dozens and dozens of blocks for all tastes, but the LGBT or gay-friendly ones are the most sought after by revelers

In 2017, there were 26 GLS cordons that excited the public through the streets of São Paulo.

PRE-CARNAVAL

Saturday, 03-02

Lunatic Party Block

The block passes through the central streets of São Paulo, ground zero of the city, at Largo São Francisco and Praça da Sé. The gathering is at 15pm, starting at 16pm until 22pm. The sound will be controlled by DJs Adipe Neto, Camila Cornelsen, Caio Gulip and Marco Seppi.

Is it?

For the second year, the group from the Museum of Sexual Diversity will parade through the streets to the sound of classic carnival marches. The gathering will be at 14pm on the corner of Augusta and Matias Aires streets, in Consolação, with an end scheduled for 17pm, on the corner of Martins Fontes and Álvaro de Carvalho streets.

Sunday 04-02

Lower Augusta Academics

Without a doubt one of the most requested, the cordon always takes place before the official carnival week and brings together thousands of LGBTs and supporters. With actress Alessandra Negrini as godmother, the block started from Rua da Consolação, towards the central region, on Sunday afternoon.

Velvet mouth

Reminding everyone of the importance of prevention during Carnival, the cordon is famous for distributing condoms among revelers. The block will travel through the streets of Pinheiros, with no set time yet.

Carnaleste

Taking the focus away from the center, Carnaleste brings together several parties with a lot of pop, funk and electronic music in Cidade Líder, East Zone of the capital. The electric trio will be at Praça Miguel Melo e Alvim between 12pm and 19pm.

Gambiarra – The Block

Another cordon that has attracted hundreds of revelers, the Gambiarra party, in recent years is led by Tiago Abravanel. The sound is dominated by national music.

Saturday 10-02

Pleases Greeks

In 2017 alone, more than 100 followers followed the Agrada Gregos trio, which leaves Bela Vista heading to Ibirapuera Park. The parade takes place between 13pm and 19pm.

Gaymada SP block

Traditional gls contest in the city, this will be Gaymada's first time as a block. The meeting will take place at Largo da Batata, next to the Faria Lima metro.

Sunday, 11-02

Sunday She Won't Go

The block takes place in the city center with a lot of axé and takes place from 11am to 16pm.

Tuesday, 13-02

Sai Block, Straight! SP

One of the best bands, Sai Hétero has a lot of pop, funk, divas and traditional carnival rhythms. The block runs from Rua Augusta to Consolação and takes place between 17pm and 22pm.

Saturday, 17-02

Closing the festivities, the Diversity Block, created by the São Paulo LGBT Parade Association, starts at Largo do Arouche and is a mix of rhythm and melody for all audiences. The action starts at 17:30 pm until 22 pm.
