Pernambuco already has its representative Mister Brazil Diversity 2013. The contest, which will have its grand finale on October 11th at Blue Space, in São Paulo, gains another candidate: André Fernandes, who enters the competition for the prize of 5 thousand reais.
The young man says that he considers himself very happy to have the support of his family, who respect and accept him as he is.
"Because I'm gay, I'm not ashamed of being who I am, nor am I afraid of the battles I'll face due to my sexuality. This was one of the reasons that motivated me to sign up for this contest, as my goal is to reach out to people who, despite their sexual differences, , we are normal people, with dreams, pain, and we should all be proud to be gay, bisexual or straight, it doesn't matter", he declared.
"What really matters in life is the search for happiness", added the candidate.

About the contest
O Mister Brazil Diversity, which aims to identify a photogenic candidate who has enough personality to represent the community, will have its grand national final on October 11th, in São Paulo.
Throughout the process, the chosen candidates will undergo interviews, photo shoots and group activities. Men from all Brazilian states, aged between 18 and 35, can participate. The winner receives a prize of R$5.000,00. To find out more about the competition send an email to augusto@ibe.com.br.
