What is different has always bothered society, which has always ignored and marginalized it for not being willing to understand it.

From childhood to adulthood, being Bicha becomes a reason for attacks and scars. Being queer is, above all, a political act. If come out as gay in front of this society it is an act of bravery.

The solution is always the friendship network, groups of friends and social networks. The affection that is lacking at home is supplied by these friends, who come closer because they share the same feelings.

With this speech, Marlon Parente wrote, directed and recorded the documentary Bichas. Totally independent, the film was born with the mission of raising awareness and identification.

"Fagots are never seen as something good in society, otherwise they wouldn't be used as an insult. And to talk about queers, there's nothing better than queers themselves. And nothing more fair than giving a voice to one of them", explains the 23-year-old.

"The objective of this film is to bring information to people. It is to show, show, and repeat as many times as necessary: being queer has never been a problem. The experiences of the participants only reinforce periods that many boys go through and how this is bad," he adds.
