Coronavirus: at least 75 LGBT parades are canceled around the world

June is the most colorful month of the year – because it is when, on a global scale, we celebrate LGBT Pride Month. However, it is difficult to know what things will be like as a result of the coronavirus.

Around the world, at least 75 parades that would have been held in June have been canceled or will be postponed, according to the website Pink News.

The EPOA (Association of Parade Organizers in Europe) released a statement arguing that all organizers should think about contingency plans and talk to financiers and sponsors. Furthermore, the EPOA mentions in the text that, traditionally, organizers carry out the function as voluntary work, having their professional careers in parallel.

Check it out at Pink News a map and list of stops and their respective countries that had to be canceled or postponed.
