the rapper Damez has released a new song – which shows, once again, why he is a promise in pop music.

Black, gay and proud to have both identities, Damez makes “Higher” (listen below) an ode to being both.

“I believe that black men are the strongest people on the planet. The even bigger message is that you can be whoever you want to be and you will feel free once you don’t worry about what other people think,” he said in a statement.
