The Irish edition of Dancing with the Stars There will be same-sex couples in this year's competition. The confirmation was made by RTE, the channel that shows the program in the country.
Participant Brian Dowling, gay and recent winner of the Big Brother in the country, he will be paired with dancer Kai Widdrington in the competition's traditional annual exchange of pairs. Radio presenter Lottie Ryan, in turn, will dance with Emily Barker. See the video below.

Meanwhile, the British edition of the program, Strictly Come Dancing, maintains the tradition of pairs formed by men and women, which has generated criticism of the attraction due to the lack of diversity in the competing couples.
