After appearing naked in a production of the play "Equus", on the stages of London theaters in the first half of this year, Daniel Radclife, protagonist of the Harry Potter film series, really wants to get rid of the image of the little wizard.
The 18-year-old actor stated last Wednesday, 26/9, that he intends to play a homosexual in his next film. Daniel, who also stars in the feature film "A Summer for Life" – opening in Brazil scheduled for October 5th – declared that he does not believe that a gay role could interfere or harm his career.
"I don't think it particularly affects me. I've never played a homosexual role before," he revealed. "If the script is good and the gay character is interesting, then I don't mind. Playing characters that explore their sexuality is a challenge," he added.
For Daniel, if he plays a gay character, he will be in the phase of sexual discovery, "the roles I will be given will be characters who, due to their adolescence, are exploring their sexuality". The actor's association is that the role would be like this because of his age.
