Promoter David Brazil and actress Susana Vieira will be the godparents of the 2nd Rocinha Gay Parade, south of Rio de Janeiro, which takes place this Sunday (24).
"When they gave me the date of the Parade, I said: 'ah, my love, I'm going to be in NY, because it's my birthday. I won't be able to go'. But I thought about it and decided to stay in Rio. For the first time I'm going to spend my birthday with more than 100 thousand people", David told "UOL".
This is the second time that the promoter has participated in the Parade which, this year, will have the theme "Against Homophobia, defending citizenship. A Celebration of the Freedom to Be, Stay and Love". The gathering starts at 10am, in front of the Cachopa climb.
Last year, the manifestation brought around 18 thousand people to the streets of Rocinha.
