David Brazil will play football referee in TV series

David Brazil will make a special appearance in the HBO series "Preamar". In the attraction, David will play a very handsome football referee.

The boy's first recordings took place this Wednesday (05). In the scenes, David's character referees a beach soccer game between Brazil and Sweden.

The character is inspired by judge Clésio Moreira dos Santos, better known as Margarida. Openly gay, Margarida attracted attention on the pitch in the 80s. The referee was very jumpy, he checked the players' bodies and created a whole scene to apply his cards.

David watched some videos on the internet and talked to people who knew Margarida to compose the character's mannerisms. "He filmed the blow from top to bottom. He jumped up and ran back," said the promoter.

Despite not liking football, Brazil says he watches the games to see the players. "I just like the players. Neymar, Adriano, I love them."

The series "Preamar" is directed and produced by Estevão Ciavatta, husband of Regina Casé. The production will tell the story of a businessman who goes bankrupt after the 2008 financial crisis. Most of the plot takes place in the sands of Rio de Janeiro. The premiere is scheduled for 2012.
