Well, reading The Cape today, checking the most commented ones, I came across the article talking about SBT's new foray into the topic. Of course, I had already read it the day it came out, so today I focused on the comments. Yeah, and I was shocked. It's incredible how, with a few exceptions, most people missed the author's brilliant idea of putting up a voiceover WARNING that the kiss is going to happen and, in doing so, getting the children and those with heart problems out of the room.
Damn, it's not possible that the excitement over the kissing event leaves people blinded by such a manifestation of prejudice. Have people, so accustomed to discrimination, lost their sense? Where have you seen something natural, yes, because a gay kiss is as NATURAL as a hetero kiss, as if it were an anomaly? Since when can such an attitude be positive in the fight for equality?
Look, nothing against SBT and much less nothing in favor of Globo, but for it to be like this, it's better not to have it. Between kisses with advance notice and running around the room and the very positive dialogues of Insensato Coração, I stay with them.
