Designer creates line of rings for gay couples

The "Unforgettable Wedding" workshop will be held this Saturday (27), in Rio. Among the attractions at the event, which takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel in São Conrado, is jewelry designer Renata Rose.

Renata developed a line of rings for gay couples that are part of the "Celebration Collection". "The idea came up in 2007, when two friends decided to get married in London, and Mayor Ken Livingstone instituted civil contracts between gays in the city", says the designer. Still in 2007, Renata launched a series of pendants for gay couples within the Souvenir Carioca project.

The Rio native creates custom jewelry after learning about the couple's story. "A love that overcame so many barriers deserves a special jewel!", says Renata. The designer exhibits her work at Espaço Diamond, a lounge designed by Bruno Chateaubriand.
